Brief

The brief given to IN2 SPACE was to fitout the new location of their Melbourne CBD  Headquarters to facilitate a layout that would allow business structures + collaborations to operate effectively whilst providing flexibility to cater for the many services the company provides to client organisations + their employees.

Materials + finishes such as minimally treated concrete floor slabs, polished feature timber flooring, timber framed office fronts + muted toned carpets impart a calming tone to the fitout

Surfaces such as desktops, workstation screen fabrics + joinery were specified in clean white + a restrained color palette of blonde timbers, light neutrals + softly muted tones to keep the look of the space simple + open.  Open geometric privacy panels softened with planting to delineate spaces, carefully selected art works adding to the calming + uplifting environment, + polished pendant light fittings were chosen to maximise the natural light + complement the inviting feel of the space to reinforce the supportive nature of the business.

Outcome

IN2 SPACE was commissioned to provide a new front of house area that was professional as well as relaxing, with a welcoming waiting area for all people entering the premises.  IN2 SPACE provided a complete end-to-end service, Designing, Documenting, Project Managing, Constructing + providing all the fixtures + fittings for the project.

The Waiting area was to be inviting + calm.  IN2 SPACE designed + installed a feature slatted screen wall with neon corporate signage that achieved this as well as installing a new reception counter + feature flooring.  Casual seating, feature pendant lighting + carefully selected artwork completed the transformation.

Company

Face to Face Medical is a professional non-surgical cosmetic skin medical clinic + training facility.


Brief

An old Victorian property was chosen to be the new practice space for the clinic. The clinic was to house consulting suites + training facilities. The requirement for the clinic interior was to be a simple yet elegant space retaining an understated authenticity to the period of the property. The medical suites were to be professional, functional + apportioned with all modern requirements + facilities. All services to the property were to be upgraded.

Face to Face Medical chose IN2 SPACE as their preferred commercial interior design & project management firm in Melbourne to complete this exciting refurbishment project with them.

IN2 SPACE provided a complete Design + Construct service comprising of Commercial Interior Design, Documentation, Construction, Project Management + the supply of furniture + fittings for the Melbourne clinic.

This historic period property interior was remodelled + refurbished. All the services including electrical, communications, security, lighting, heating + cooling were either upgraded or newly installed.

All door hardware was upgraded + an access control system was installed. Existing floor coverings were removed + a modern new floor was provided. Walls, doors + surfaces were simplified and an elegant white painted treatment applied to surfaces. A new insulation backed serviceable floor covering was installed over the existing.

Art work was chosen + provided for the space.

Most of the original period features were retained in the refurbished interior but their appearance were simplified + modernised, + this resulted in an elegant + uncluttered space.

Face to Face medical are excited with the outcome of the refurbishment + it has allowed the practice to achieve the desired look for the space + to function efficiently providing it with the flexibility to undertake both practice + training functions going forward into the future.

The brief provided to IN2 SPACE commercial interior designers, was to provide a showroom space
design which would allow for the state of the art digital consulting centre to be housed within a
prestigious CBD multi storey building.

This type of office fitout has elements that make it unique due to the extensive range of equipment display and security. It highlights the importance of dealing with an experienced office fitout design company to enable the successful delivery of such a detailed project.

Office Refurbishment Melbourne | Westcare Salvation Army

Company

Established in 1981, The Salvation Army Westcare has been providing specialised Out of Home Care services to babies, children, young people and their families for over 30 years. It delivers programs to children and young people considered to be at risk and in need of community support.

Westcare operates in Melbourne’s western region with key offices in Sunshine and Melton and services that extend from Footscray to Melton, Sunbury to Werribee.


Brief

The Sunshine office was housed in a space that they had occupied for many years and in need of a
refurbishment. The brief was to provide a completely refurbished reception counter and waiting space to promote greater collaboration between staff and the vast cross section of people that visited seeking assistance + support.

They provide customers  inter-connectivity with their own equipment accessed through state of the art highly secure data centres.


Brief

The brief provided to IN2 SPACE commercial interior designers, was to provide an office space design which would allow for the state of the art data centre to be housed and built in the proposed A grade Multi-storey office tower.

This type of office fit out has elements that make is unique due to the equipment storage and security and show’s the importance of dealing with an experienced office fitout design company. Up until that stage most of their facilities were housed in outlying suburban purpose built stand alone facilities.

IN2 SPACE provided a complete Design and Documentation service.  The office design solution provided Vocus Communications with a state of the art data centre presented in a dynamically styled fit out encompassing both industrial and contemporary office style.

The Data centres were outfitted with state of the art lighting control + a hot bay air-conditioning structured system that economizes on energy, is supremely efficient and aligns with the company’s sustainability objectives.

The office component of the facility was designed to support the facility + provide immediate support to customers if required. The office area consisted of open plan low height screen  workstations coupled with a comprehensive meeting facility + support areas.

The industrial theme of the project was carried thru the space. Departments + individuals were housed in a manner which allowed collaboration between areas yet provided structured and well apportioned areas with numerous locations for storage and working bays.

Koda Capital + Flinders Investment Partners/Westoz; Koda Capital provides private wealth management + Flinders Investment Partners/Westoz is a funds management organisation managing Listed Investment companies.


Brief

The two separate but sector-related businesses have setup operations in Melbourne + are looking at occupying office space independently but where they can share common facilities.

The brief was to independently cater for each business as its own entity; providing separate + independent client reception spaces and general office working facilities but sharing some common meeting rooms and facilities.

The  décor of the public space was to be designed to target a more mature clientele portraying a warm, tasteful but understated tone.

Efficiency + flexibility in the workspace was paramount to cater for the further planned growth in the business.

IN2 SPACE were successful + excited to be chosen to undertake the Melbourne office design project. IN2 SPACE provided a complete Design + Documentation service for the new Melbourne offices.

The office design solution allowed Koda Capital + Flinders Investment Partners/Westoz to securely + independently occupy an office floor space where they could share some meeting facilities without trafficking any of the respective office work spaces. The resultant appearance of the interior was professional, inviting yet modern and tasteful.

The meeting spaces + staff breakout area were located in a common area to each business which allowed the sharing of spaces without needing to access the work spaces.

A vinyl plank timber look flooring product was laid on the floor throughout the common hall ways and the kitchen area. This product solved the issues of foot traffic noise, maintenance + serviceability without compromising the look of the space.

Various graphic images applied to vinyl film were used throughout the space to introduce movement + colour.

Feature clear glass pendant lighting was located above the reception desks to soften the space + introduce an element of interest.

The colour scheme chosen for the soft furnishings was a reflection of the business branding colours +complimentary colours were chosen to accentuate the over-colour palette.

The brief was to provide a completely refurbished space which was to re-organise the layout, to enable increased efficiencies + promote greater collaboration between staff + the consulting doctors. Assess Medical Group Office Fitout

Brief

The business had grown beyond its current tenanted space and there were floor layout shortcomings with limited flexibility in the way business could be undertaken.

The brief was to replan and remodel the business requirements onto a new larger space within the same building.

The new  layout was designed to achieve a cohesive yet flexible workspace. To accomplish this, IN2SPACE Interior Design went about creating visual privacy for the central staff working within an area that the business’s clients trafficked but also maintained a visual connection and interaction with the doctors working from the consulting rooms laid out around the perimeter of the space.

The meeting + socialising spaces were to be flexible and inviting as it was important in playing a large part in harmonising + bringing together staff + consultant doctors using the rooms.

The reception/waiting space was required to be a professional yet inviting and impactful entrance to the business.

IN2 SPACE provided a complete Design + Documentation service for the office fitout.

The design solution allowed ASSESS Medical Group to occupy + be accommodated in an extremely flexible layout allowing for its various groups + functions to change + shift as required, whilst maintaining integration + cohesion.

The resultant interior was visually dynamic incorporating graphic film images on walls + the use of transparent coloured surfaces throughout the space to maintain + open yet mask screening throughout the office. The screens were manufactured using glass paneling with coloured vinyl film which achieved the desired gradation required.

Workstation areas were planned centrally + were in direct connection to the consulting rooms but were designed to have masking + screening panels placed strategically to afford adequate privacy between the hallway + the rooms.

The meeting spaces + staff breakout area were located adjacent to each other allowing for the flexibility in meeting and entertaining clients + staff alike.

The front reception entrance area successfully invites and leads clients into the office and is professional in appearance, inviting + visually stimulating.

The staff + management are extremely excited + happy with the outcome of the project.


 

Professional Building Facade Design

Office Building Refurbishment Designers | 180 Queen St Melbourne

 

Company

180 Queen Street is situated in the bustling area of the city towards Bourke Street + houses professionally based firms catering largely for  the Legal fraternity located nearby.


 

Brief

The building dates back to the 1960’s + not a great amount of refurbishment had been undertaken in the period leading up to this work. A face lift undertaken in the 1970’s had not provided a great advancement to the appearance and the building had been suffering  not being considered for lease based on this + the fact that the services were very out-dated  + required renewing. The building was in dire need of a facelift to bring the appearance up to modern tastes + to provide a compliant disabled persons entrance by way of a ramp from the street level into the building. The landlords were a couple of small time investors who owned the building so the funds available for the works were modest + the refurbishment was to achieve the desired outcome at a limited budget.


 

Outcome

IN2 SPACE were contracted from a number of competing firms to undertake this project. The building lobby + entrance were given a face-lift + access into the building improved by way of a the installation of a ramp to cater for disabled groups. The installation of this ramp, at a very substantial cost,  was to enhance the buildings appeal to cater to the demand for disabled persons access.

A new entrance façade, flooring, signage, interior fitout, lit up image directory board + disabled ramp were installed. Careful coordination + integration by IN2 SPACE with the retail tenants avoided any business disruption during the renovation process. The building entrance space now is tasteful, modern + inviting for the visitor + tenant alike. IN2 SPACE were contracted to provide an end to end service taking control of all the design, construction + complete delivery of the project. The outcome of the works was reflected in the increased tenant take up of the existing building space.
